Summer 2017 New Brunswick Destinations Bucket List 🚙💨

New Brunswick Summer Bucket List East Coast Mermaid

Every year, it’s tradition for me to do a summer bucket list. It’s one of the posts I look forwarded to writing most each year because I get to very strategically set goals for an awesome summer – the very best goals, obviously. This year, I thought I’d have a little fun and give a little extra love to my home province with the Summer 2017 New Brunswick Destination Bucket List!

Curious what was on last summer’s list? Check it out here.

I consider these goals as my official rules of summer and try my hardest to incorporate each into vacation planning + use them as inspiration for last minute road trips. My hope is that some of these may inspire YOU to create your own list for the summer.

And now – my Summer 2017 New Brunswick Destination Bucket List ☀️

1. Visit the Black Sand Beach.

2. Try stand-up paddle board yoga at Shediac Paddle Shack.

3. Road trip to Campobello Island.

4. Walk the Reversing Falls Skywalk.

5. Hang with puffins on Machias Island.

6. Discover the tallest waterfall in New Brunswick in Boiestown.

7. Visit Saint George.

10. Drive to Minister’s Island at low tide.

11. Go to the Irving Nature Park.

12. Walk the grounds at the Kingsbrae Garden

13. Visit Miscou Island.

14. Hike to Walton Glen Gorge.

15. Go back in time at King’s LandingYes, if you follow me on Instagram, you know we visited King’s Landing last weekend BUT it was on my list so I wanted to include it here.

16. Complete the Moosehorn hike at Fundy National Park.

17. Drive across the Hartland Bridge – the longest covered bridge in the world.

18. Visit Mount Carleton Provincial Park.

19. View the Grand Falls.

I’m excited to add that each of these destinations is completely new to me, so I’m extra motivated to check as many off my list as possible between now and the end of September.

Because this is Atlantic Canada, I embrace summer until the very last days of September and you should too!

Which of these destinations have you visited? Which would you love to check out this summer? Leave a comment below!

      1. Hi Zena! I’ll definitely add River Beach. We have had our Puffin tour booked for Grand Manan since March! Can’t wait!

      1. You’re so welcome! I can’t wait to come check out the Shediac Paddle Shack! :)

  1. Heading home now from the moosehorn hike, we did it with my 9 and 6yr old boys as well as a 3yr old. It was beautiful, challenging and at times we talked about giving up and laying in the woods for the bears, lol. Pack a lunch, lots of water and a swimsuit. Start at the moosehorn side and end at laverty.

  2. You should totally check out a place called “the cuts” here in saint john and Parlee beach in cap-pele nb

    1. Parlee Beach is one of my favorite NB destinations! I’m there at least once a week! I would love to check out the Cuts! Will be googling that!

    1. Hi Andrea! To get to Machias Island you have to get one of the tours from Grand Manan! We’re doing the Puffin Tour that takes you right to the island!

  3. Nice bucket list! Yoga paddle board sounds fun and challenging. :) Loving the blanket… where did you get it?

    1. It definitely will be a fun challenge ;) The blanket is actually from India! A friend brought a few back and she is hoping to bring back more to sell! Keep an eye on my Facebook page and hopefully I’ll have more news on how you can get one!

    1. Hi Kitzy! Everything on my list is stuff I’ve never done before and I’ve actually done the Little Big Bear Safari! It’s a super fun (and cute!) time!

  4. This is a fantastic list! The Coastal trail in Fundy is also amazing. It’s more challenging the the Moosehorn but totally worth it. Have a great summer!
