Grab your favorite Starbucks holiday drink, light your Christmas tree, put on Home Alone and get cozy, because the wait is over and the much anticipated 2017 Holiday Gift Guide has arrived!
This year, I set out with what I thought to be a pretty bold idea. Instead of going on a Crystal Shopping Spree (I’m really good at those, trust me) and purchasing all of my favorite things, I invited brands across Atlantic Canada to submit products for consideration in this year’s guide. The response was OVERWHELMING and I got to discover new brands and products that I may not have known about otherwise.
With careful consideration and the help from my best friend and a bottle of Nova 7, we hand picked the perfect holiday gifts that you will find in today’s post. And I couldn’t be more excited to share each and every one with you!
Whether you’re shopping for a mermaid or not, these perfectly sweet gift ideas will make most women smile, so get ready to be inspired and start your shopping list!
And ladies – share this with your boyfriends and hubbies. Trust me on this!
FOR THE MERMAID AT HOME
East Coast Lobster Rope Mats & Baskets
Years ago, I received a beautiful door mat from Grand Manan Island made of recycled lobster rope and to this day, it’s one of my favorite features in our home. So I was especially excited when East Coast Lobster Rope Mats reached out about being a part of the Gift Guide!
Their lobster mats are a perfect gift for anyone with a cottage or whose home has a nautical touch – like us! Their lobster rope baskets (as pictured above) would make such a great gift this holiday season filled with the recipient’s favorite goodies or a beautiful winter blanket or scarf. Or lobster. Because lobster is 100% always a GREAT gift.

Fundy Treasures Candles
I’m incredibly picky when it comes to which candles I’ll burn at home (my nose is crazy sensitive) so when I first discovered Fundy Treasures candles – it was love at first sight. Or should I say sniff? Their candles are made with 100% soy wax and come in a variety of scents. Each candle has a Bay of Fundy polished agate and a piece of genuine Nova Scotia beach glass embedded inside. Their Sleigh Ride scent smells like Christmas in a candle and is a must have at home during the holidays. I’ll definitely be burning it now through to Christmas!

I love a comfy pair of boxers to lounge in, so when I first heard about East Coast designer Dee Silkie and her KINDNESS BOXERS – I was intrigued. My HOME Apparel New Brunswick Tartan Blanket Scarf
You guys. There’s nothing I love more than a great scarf. Whether I’m leaving the apartment or not, I’m typically wearing a scarf in the winter months. I also love gifting scarves around the holidays. Whether you’re shopping for your best friend, mother, favorite aunt or grandmother – who doesn’t need a beautiful new scarf?
My HOME Apparel, new to Moncton, has the most beautiful scarves in your province’s tartan colors, so of course, I was thrilled to receive my very own New Brunswick tartan blanket scarf. PEI, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have their own too! AND as if a comfy, warm scarf wasn’t enough, 5% of all their profits are donated to homelessness initiatives across Canada. And THAT is a warm and cozy feeling this holiday season.
Local? Make sure to check out their brand new Moncton location at 805 Main Street! You can even attend their Grand Opening Thursday, November 30th! Details here.

Farm Girl Design
If you’re like me, you’ve probably gone through hundreds, if not thousands of cotton balls and pads in your life to remove makeup. Over the last few years, I ditched the throwaway cotton and opted for simply using my fingertips and some coconut oil. So when I first heard about Farm Girl Design and her reusable facial rounds made from 100% cotton flannel, I was SOLD!
Washer and dryer safe, you can simply throw your makeup removers in with your clothes or towels and you get to feel good about helping our planet. These will be the perfect surprise for any makeup lover’s stocking this Christmas!

December 1, 2017 at 4:06 pmGreat gift guide Crystal! I was in the My Home Apparel store for their grand opening this past week and those scarfs are amazing. I had a hard time not buying my roots “Nova Scotia” one for my daughter, but I did come out with a tshirt for myself and a wicked hoodie for my wife for Christmas. I had no idea they were more than an apparel store and think that the public may think the same. They have so many different gift ideas it’s not funny. I loved seeing this guide and plan to visit them into the new year to check them out. Thanks so much for sharing.
