Introducing: East Coast Mermaid

East Coast Mermaid

Once upon a time, a little mermaid was born. Except she had feet, legs, and could only hold her breath under water for a minute (she practiced in the bathtub) at most. She was also never in her 32 years able to grow long, flowing, hair.

But she was a mermaid at heart. She was happiest with her toes in the sand. She glows with sun kissed skin. She has salt water in her blood.

And on the first day of summer, after weeks of late nights and plenty of day dreaming, she launched the next chapter of her East Coast life.

This is East Coast Mermaid.

East Coast Mermaid isn’t a stance, a label, or a one of a kind shell that only few can fit into.

It’s a destination. It’s a tribe.

It’s being a mermaid at heart.

It’s living with passion + appreciation + adventure.

It’s chasing sunsets and falling in love.

It’s collecting memories as though they were shells.

It’s fearlessly riding the waves of life.

Want to know more about the Mermaid Tribe? Click here or browse the all new menu up top.

First time here or did you hear about East Coast Mermaid through a friend (or because it exploded on the internet? A girl can dream.) You may be curious WHO the girl behind the name is.

Here’s a quick splash.

My name is Crystal – my tribe calls me C.

I grew up on the East Coast. I spend my summers on the ocean.

I can eat seafood 24/7. Oysters, especially, are my candy.

I take the scenic route. I will never get mad at you for tracking sand in my car.

I have a thumbed cat named Bella. She’s going to be in the first ever Cats of Instagram book. You can join her Instagram fan club here.

I am madly in love with my boyfriend D.

I love chasing sunsets, waves, and dreams.

And this is my biggest adventure as a blogger yet.

So what can you look forward to on East Coast Mermaid?

I’m SO happy you asked!

East Coast Mermaid will have nearly all of posts you’ve come to love on the old blog – including les mots and the c list on Monday and Friday mornings. It will have East Coast tales and adventures. It will have amazing products and delicious recipes.

And coming very soon it will have an online shop for you to purchase your very own original East Coast Mermaid merchandise and gifts.

I can’t give away too many specifics but there are two things I know to be true: 1) There are some FUN things for the shop in the works and 2) This is without a doubt the scariest endeavour I have ever endeavoured on.

Is ‘endeavoured on’ even grammatically correct? Who cares!

Identify more with salty pirates? I’ve got something on deck for you too.

Not yet a subscriber? Why not celebrate the first day of summer by joining the tribe of mermaids and pirates today.

On Facebook? Like the East Coast Mermaid page for behind the scenes + new posts.

For all other rad adventures on social media – I can still be found at the same destinations on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat!

Ok. That was A LOT of excitement.

I sincerely mean it when I say that I’m SO happy you’ve come to check out East Coast Mermaid and I hope that it continues to call to you like the sirens it was inspired by.

You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Let’s chase the sunset.

Crystal

Dedication: This new adventure would not be possible without the most insanely talented and loyal tribe, squad, group of best friends and creative sisters a girl could ever ask for – they know who they are and I’m eternally grateful for the help, emails, photos, love, and Instagram exchanges for inspiration.

And last but certainly not least – behind every successful blogger is an incredibly patient and understanding boyfriend. D – thank you for not running in the other direction when I told you I was a blogger on a first date. You’re my lobster.
