Florida Love

East Coast Mermaid travels to Florida

I’ve realized since my last time in Florida, twelve years ago this month to be exact, that it’s actually impossible to find fresh squeezed Florida orange juice anywhere.

The sun doesn’t always mean it’s actually warm (written as I sit in a hoodie.) The sand can actually be so cold it feels like snow. And piers – well piers are just always perfect.

But this realizations aside – Florida is absolute love.

And while I’d love to go on and on about how much fun I’m having, truly, you would think one wouldn’t have bundles of fun on a workation (see this post if you’re confused) but the work-vacation balance has actually proven to not only be amazing—it’s done wonders for my productivity, creativity and just all around joies de vivres.

At the moment, I have a pier and Florida sunset to get to.

But in the meantime, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite glimpses from Florida that I’ve already experienced in the past week.
