If watching the ballet on the ocean while sipping local wines and dining on the most delicious local delicacies sounds like a coastal dream to you, then welcome to New Brunswick. Where you can do exactly that, thanks to the incredible team behind the Atlantic Ballet of Canada.
And they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary season with a truly East Coast experience: Ballet by the Ocean.
Yes, it’s as magical as it sounds.
This incredibly unique experience takes place only twenty minutes from the city of Moncton and its Fall series is coming up from September 4th to September 19th, 2021. You can book your ticket here.
The minute I heard that tickets were on sale for the Summer Series, I was quick to snag two tickets to take my mother for a girl’s night, leading up to the craziness of the wedding. We had the best time and both agreed that this is something everyone should experience in their lifetime.
I didn’t snap too many pictures from the evening because, let’s be honest, how could you possibly look away from those incredible dancers?
But I did capture a few snapshots from the evening to share with all of you.
As their tagline suggests….
Are you ready to experience extraordinary?
How’s this for a view for your evening?
Don’t let the photos fool you! The stage is much closer than it appears in photos and the sound is fantastic. It’s sure to give you chills as the dancers glide across the stage to some familiar orchestral pieces you’ll recognize in a heartbeat.
You can also enjoy various species of birds soaring above and around you from the surrounding protected wetlands, which was a real treat!
There is truly no bad seat in the house—or should I say by the ocean?
I loved how the seats were divided between high tops and low tops, so that everyone had a great view while allowing you to dine comfortably with your bubble. This small but powerful detail is especially appreciated these days!
Where do I even begin about the food?
Tickets for Atlantic Ballet by the Ocean includes three courses of delicious local fares prepared by Chef Emannuel Charretier. And if you attend the Fall Series, you’ll be treated to plates by another one of my favorite local chefs, Chef Gene Cormier.
From the delicious appetizer to the incredible seafood chowder with the largest chunks of fish, scallops, shrimp and lobster—this meal was heavenly and complemented the evening perfectly.
We also got to sip on some of my favourite wines from the Magnetic Hill Winery’s collection, which added to the whole experience! It’s always amazing to attend events here in the province and to see this local winery’s award-winning wines being served.
Last but certainly not least, what’s an evening out without dessert? This fresh and light dessert was a dream and was the perfect ending to a magical evening.
I cannot say enough good things about this unique experience and how lucky we are to have something like this right here in New Brunswick.
Run, don’t walk, to get your tickets for September dates, it truly is an extraordinary evening to remember!
PS: NOT sponsored, just madly obsessed with New Brunswick experiences and here to help you develop a coastal crush on this magical province we call home ❤️
