I had the amazing opportunity of going to Nashville to attend Inc. Magazine’s annual GrowCo Conference.
A conference that was life changing.
The destination was just a perk. A perk that until, two weeks ago, didn’t seem like that much of a perk. I mean, it wasn’t Hawaii or Europe. It was just Nashville and I was just a girl that didn’t listen to country. Even if I’ve been known to do a mean June Carter when you hand me a microphone.
But after walking down Broadway, eating some of the best southern BBQ, and singing “Friends in Low Places” at the top of my lungs in a honky tonk bar – Nashville charmed the hell out of me.
Here are just a few of my favorite shots and some of the amazing Nashville eats from my trip.
My incredible view from the Omni Hotel
The most amazing BBQ on Broadway
Nashville Eats: Tennessee Pork Shoulder, Corn, Mac & Cheese and Corn Bread (Jack’s BBQ)
Beautiful cherry blossoms at the Country Music Hall of Fame Theatre
Nashville Eats: Crispy pig ears – absolutely to die for appetizer (the Farm House)
Nashville Eats: Garden Vegetable Frittata w/ goat cheese (Kitchen Notes)
The best $1 I’ve ever spent for a photo op
Nashville Eats: the most amazing taco spread (Bakersfield)
Nashville Eats: more tacos, all the tacos (Bajo Sexto Tacos)
So many old records storage buildings – loved each and every one
Nashville Eats: Sweet corn crusted french toast (Kitchen Notes)
G’Night Nashville. You’ve been swell.
In conclusion, between the honky tonk bars, the amazing people I met and the unreal Nashville eats – I would go back to this city in a heart beat.
If you’ve been Nashville, you know what I’m talkin about.
Curious to know what I thought about the Inc. conference? Come back next weekend to check out my post on all things inspiring for GrowCo!
