My secret to mermaid skin ✨

Life on the Bay of Fundy feeds my soul but between the wind, salt, and sun, it can be hard on my skin.

Especially during the summer when I’m outdoors more than indoors and either on the beach, traveling by ferry, or jumping on a boat to play with whales and dolphins.

This is your sign to make lobster rolls 🦞 Summer

This is your sign to make lobster rolls 🦞

Summer is right around the corner, and I’m switching up my usual lobster roll routine with a warm, buttery East Coast classic.

I teamed up with @sobeys because Canadian lobster season has officially washed ashore in stores, making it easier than ever to bring those seaside flavours home, even when you’re in the city.

Here’s what you’ll need ⤵️
4 Live Lobsters
Compliments New England-style Hot Dog Buns
Salted Butter
1 Shallot Chopped Finely
Chives
Coarse Salt

Bring 6 litres of water to a rolling boil in a large pot with 3–4 tablespoons of coarse salt.

Add the lobsters and cook for 10 minutes, then remove them. You want to undercook them as you’ll finish them on the stovetop in butter! 😉

Let them cool for 10–15 minutes.

To shell your lobster, remove meat from the tail, claw, and knuckle, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. You may need seafood shears to break the shells.

In a hot saucepan, melt 6 tablespoons of salted butter and sauté one minced shallot for 2–3 minutes.

Stir in the lobster meat, then heat for 2 minutes to finish cooking.

Toast the buttered hot dog buns on both sides, fill with warm, buttered lobster, and serve with potato chips, potato salad, or whatever floats your boat.

A dreamy little weekend in St. Andrews by the Sea ✨

May is one of my favourite times of the year to visit St. Andrews, as this picture-perfect seaside town comes to life ahead of the busy summer season.

Spending Mother’s Day weekend there with my parents was such a treat.

Highlights included:

🫖 Afternoon Tea at the Algonquin Hotel.
🍦 Salted Caramel ice cream from McGuire Chocolate.
🐚 Amazing fried clams from The Clam Digger.
🦌 Seeing Gickles the town's beloved spirit deer.
🌷 An unreal Mother's Day Brunch at the hotel.

Boatloads of thanks to the The Algonquin Resort for hosting us this weekend.

As a little girl, I dreamed of the day I'd be grown up and could go to the hotel like Mom & Dad.

Dan and I have made many memories and started our own traditions at the Algonquin, including getting married there in 2021.

It was a real treat to invite my parents to join me with this weekend and to spoil them!

I can’t wait to return to the hotel later this month for the Southwest Business Summit!
