On the 2nd day of NB Christmas Giveaways, Upfront Cosmetics gave to me 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners and 3 hair masques to give your locks a very merry Christmas!
On the 2nd day of New Brunswick Christmas Giveaways, I’m so excited to be hosting a giveaway for another female-led, ocean-friendly company! Upfront Cosmetics makes salon-quality hair care and accessories that ditch the plastic waste, parabens, sulfates and synthetic fragrances.
They are both 1% For The Planet and Leaping Bunny certified so you can have amazing feeling hair AND feel really good about it while you do. Customers with Upfront Cosmetics have kept over 50,000 plastic bottles out of landfills and oceans which means less plastic in sea turtle noses. (Basically, our shared mission!)
About Upfront Cosmetics
Alicia is the entrepreneur and advocate behind Upfront Cosmetics. In an industry fraught with unnecessary waste and chemical-laden solutions to health and wellness, Upfront Cosmetics is on a mission to provide confidence that the product you’re using is good for your family and good for your planet.
Upfront Cosmetics believes that ingredients should be as easy to understand as they are to ingest. Everything they make is free from silicones, parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance, mineral oil, petroleum, formaldehyde & animal ingredients.
Why we love Upfront Cosmetics
Upfront uses plant-based surfactants in all their bars to give you the lather you expect from a cleansing shampoo, without harsh chemicals that can irritate skin, scalp and eyes. Their coconut-based surfactants are derived from the fatty acids of coconuts and are eco-certified to guarantee the best quality. These help you keep your natural oils, making all their bars perfect for hair that might normally react badly to bottled products.
Our scalps need a pH balance between 4.5 an 5.5 and traditional soaps have a pH between 9 and 10. Upfront shampoo bars, conditioner bars, & hair and scalp oils have a pH between 4.5 and 5.5 to keep your hair cuticle closed and healthy.
In a recent study off the coast of Australia, they found that there could be 14 million tonnes of microplastics on the seafloor as they sink from the surface to the ocean floor. It has never been more important to reduce the amount of waste we produce in our everyday lives.
If you’re looking for a gift for the nature lover in your life, check out the range of shampoo bars, conditioner bars and hair masques.

You can enter to win ANY of the 12 days of giveaways up until MIDNIGHT on Sunday, December 20th. So if you’re just finding out about this now, you can still enter to win any of the giveaways until December 20th.
Winners will be announced on Instagram on December 21st.
Disclaimer: 12 Days of NB Christmas Giveaways would not have been possible without the twelve small businesses that generously gifted us products. While I received free products in exchange for hosting these giveaways, all opinions expressed are my own.
