A sparkling escape ✨

Earlier this week, I spent two days in Wolfville for our quarterly business besties retreat.

After an extra chaotic past few weeks, it was just what I needed.

Tasty wine.
Incredible food.
A LOT of eagles.

Eagles have always been a good omen for me 🦅

Highlights included:

🥂 A visit to Benjamin Bridge Winery. If you know me, you know that Nova 7 has been my favourite wine for over a decade.

Visiting the winery is always a treat and I loved getting to experience their Bubbles & Bites experience. The charcuterie, featuring local cheeses, meats, pickled vegetables, chutneys and jellies was exceptional!

🐟 We enjoyed an incredible dinner at Tattingstone Inn.

We ordered the Patatas Brava, the Olive Marinate and the Insalata: Warm & Cozy as appetizers. Each dish was fabulous.

Don’t skip the Patatas Brava. Trust me on this one.

For my main course, I ordered the Tuscan Haddock and it was absolutely divine.

If you’re looking for a perfect little getaway in wine country, I can’t say enough good things about our visit!

A mother-daughter coastal escape to the Algonquin Resort has always been a tradition for us.

Together, we’ve shared some incredible moments inside the walls of the historic hotel, especially on my wedding day.

This year, there are so many beautiful ways to celebrate Mother’s Day in St. Andrews by the Sea. It’s the most perfect seaside destination for Mom.

🫖 Afternoon Tea (May 9): Rhubarb-rose tartlet and jasmine eclairs with lavender cream. Savoury lobster and lemon butter brioche, smoked salmon with dill cream, and sandwiches. Warm milk bread with cultured butter and sea salt. Simply one of the best Afternoon Teas in the province!

🍳 Mother’s Day Brunch (May 10): Seafood, carved ribeye, omelette station and the kind of spread you’ll talk about all year. Brunch at the Algonquin just hits differently.

🌸 Mother’s Day Package: One-night stay, brunch included, late checkout, and thoughtful in-room touches. The perfect getaway with your mother!
