If you’re visiting St. Andrews during the summer months, the Covenhoven Dinner Series at Ministers Island should be on your wish list.

It’s only 4 nights a year.

When I tell you I was sweating buying tickets when they went on sale in February…

Guests have the privilege of dining at Sir William Van Horne’s dining room table with a meal fit for Van Horne himself and prepared by local St. Andrews chefs.

Our meal was beautifully prepared by Chef Natasha Smith from Noble by the Sea and oh em gee — it was incredible!

Bay of Fundy Scallops.
Yellowfin Tuna.
Panfried Haddock.
Rack of Lamb.
Decadent Strawberry Shortcake.

Just to name a few of the dishes guests enjoyed.

It was such a treat to be in such a beautiful home, with so much history, with only a handful of others, while watching the sunset through the trees through the dining room windows.

Your imagination will run wild, and you’ll truly feel like you’ve been transported to another time.

I can’t keep this one a secret 👀

Today through Saturday (or until sold out) @alma.snacks is serving a LOBSTER ROLL PIZZA 🦞

That deserved all caps because oh buoy, this pizza just blew my mind.

I was visiting this morning on other mermaid-related business (stay tuned for more on that another day) but this pizza is just too gosh darn good to gatekeep.

Lobster lovers — jump in the car and get your tail to Rogersville.

Thank you Chef Rob for serving up a dish made for a mermaid 🧜‍♀️

Memories that belong on the grid 📷 They say paren

Memories that belong on the grid 📷

They say parents only get 18 summers with their kids but here I am at 42 making sure I get as many summers with my parents 🫶🏻

Summer is slipping by and so a last-minute decision was made to kidnap mom & dad and bring them to the island house for a few days.

We cooked lobster.
We ate whale tail cookies from Newtons.
Enjoyed sandwiches from the bakery.
Looked for seaglass.
Fed the bunnies.
Snacked on Dulse.
And of course, feasted on Lobster Dip from Trapped.

Precious memories were made that I’ll hold on to forever.

Feeling pretty grateful for the flexibility to be able to run my company from anywhere and soak in the summer moments with Mom & Dad at the island house between emails and Teams meetings.

And what a treat to be the one to cook lobster for them at our cottage when Dad is the one who taught me everything I know about cooking the most perfect lobster 🦞
