Over our week in Maine, we spent two amazing days in Portland and two stellar days in Cape Neddick. We also spent several days (including one awesome afternoon with Colleen) in picture-perfect Old Orchard Beach.
Old Orchard is hands down my favorite spot in Maine. The beach is stunning. The pier is magical. The people (and seagulls) are awesome. And you kind of feel like you’re in New England’s version of California.
There are amazing restaurants, like Joseph’s by the Sea where we had brunch with my friend and incredibly talented author, Victoria Denault (you should go order ALL of her books if you haven’t already) who was visiting from the real California. I’m also a huge fan of Hurricane Raw Bar on the pier.
Old Orchard is also home to Palace Playland, a super rad amusement park right at the pier and right on the beach. It’s got an awesome old-school rollercoaster and a ferris wheel that is an absolute must.
Old Orchard Beach is the most fun anyone can possibly have in Maine and here are all of my favorite snapshots from our stay.
the friendliest preying mantus there ever was
Until next time Old Orchard ✌🏻
