East Coast Mermaid looks back on 2015

East Coast Mermaid Recap of 2015

When I look back at 2015, my head spins. It was without a doubt, a rollercoaster of a year, complete with some dizzy and fly out of your seat moments.  But as the perfectly hot and blissful summer ended and 2016 crept closer, all of the magic a girl could have wished for trickled into my life, reminding me that with great change can come even bigger opportunity.

Yes, when I look back at 2015 – my head may spin, but more importantly,  my heart swells, I can’t stop grinning and I’m speechless in the very best way.

They say everything happens for a reason and this year proved it. I am exactly where I want to be and couldn’t be more excited to welcome 2016 with open arms, a glass of champagne and knowing I’m the luckiest girl in the world to be surrounded by the amazing humans I get to call family, friends, and of course, that most recent addition to my life  that makes me happier than I’ve ever been and who I get to call my boyfriend every day. D – thanks for being the cream cheese icing on the red velvet cake that was 2015 and for reminding me what butterflies feel like. Saying yes to dinner with you was the best decision I made this year.

With these humans in my life? 2016 is going to bigger, better, and more bad-ass than even Taylor Swift could handle.

Here are a handful of my favorite snapshots from this amazing year of wanderlust, mermaid life, and so, so, so many smiles and laughs.
