While entrepreneurs and influencers everywhere are declaring their words of the year around empowerment, success, and world domination -- I’m here to tell you that my word of the year was inspired by none other than… LAZY SEALS? 🦦⠀

Following in the footsteps of FUN and UNSTOPPABLE my word of the year for 2020 was inspired by adorable (and lazy) seals laying on a rock by the ocean all day in the heat of the sun and salty air. Bellies full of seafood, blissfully content, and living their absolute best life.⠀
⠀
Yes, my word of the year is BASK ☀️⠀
⠀
Def: Lie exposed to warmth and light, typically from the sun, for relaxation and pleasure. Or to revel in and make the most of (something pleasing)⠀
⠀
2019 was a rollercoaster of FUN. I traveled the world, basically skipped winter, grew my biz, won awards, spoke on stages, and spent my summer island hopping. I said an enthusiastic SHELL YEAH to anything that sounded even remotely fun, and I didn’t slow down until December 20th. THAT was my 2019.⠀

Oh and we bought a house AND got engaged because we’re EXTRA like that 💁🏼‍♀️⠀

It all sounds so romantic, glamorous and exhilarating and it was but all that travel and nonstop action? It was exhausting.⠀
⠀
Which is why this year, my word was inspired by LAZY AF SEALS. And not because I want to be lazy all year - I’m growing my biz into the stratosphere and we’re planning our dream wedding. But because I want to achieve the same level of ease, rest, and pleasure those seals experience on the daily, more often in my life.⠀
⠀
Instead of rushing to the next meeting, next flight, or next destination, I want to spend more time basking in the moments, no matter how big or small.⠀

I want to blissfully bask in the MAGIC of 2020 (and Baby Yoda, because duh) ✨⠀
