Scenes from the Weekend

One of the things I love most about living on the East Coast is our proximity to all great things. I live in the city but I can be at the beach in 10-15 minutes and at our family’s summer home in 30 minutes — also, conveniently, on the beach. Of course, once the warm weather hits, I spend most weekends out of the city on the shore, because summer is short and I believe in taking advantage of every second of it.

This weekend, I enjoyed my time entirely in the city, because let’s face it — soon, every weekend will include packing a weekend bag and hitting the highway with the windows rolled down, not returning to the city until Monday morning. It’s not the Hamptons, but it’s pretty perfect.

But this weekend was spent (and spent well) in the city. After much anticipation, I saw Aloha on Friday night and San Andreas at a Sunday matinee.  On Saturday, I spent the day with friends — lounging poolside at J&P’s in the afternoon, and tasting some of the most amazing wines out of Niagara on the Lake at S&M’s at night.

Here are a few of my favorite snapshots from the weekend!

I wish I’d taken photos at the party later in the evening, but I was having way too much fun in the moment. A huge thank you to both J&P and M&S for the amazing food and hospitality this weekend! xo

Wishing you all a great week. Don’t forget to come back on Wednesday for my Guilty Pleasure of the Month — hint: it’s my thoughts on one of the movies I saw this weekend!

Until then!

    1. Aww thanks!!! My friend has JUST gotten back from Paris and was still in Parisian hospitality mode, so the baguettes and croissants from our local French bakery was a real treat!
