Happy Mother’s Day

When sitting down to write my annual Mother’s Day post, like previous years, I looked back at old Mother’s Day posts and stumbled upon the same problem I face when choosing the perfect Mother’s Day card: there aren’t simply enough words to describe how amazing, special, and important my mother is to me.

Well, repetition never hurt anyone, right?

Mom – thank you for being my best friend, my biggest fan, and my cheerleader. You have been there for me through every good decision, bad decision, and milestone in my life – I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Whenever adventure calls, you give me the faith and courage to take the world by storm. Thank you for always being the wind in my sails and my back-up compass when mine is on the fritz.

Thank you for your compassion, your understanding, and the bottomless serving of advice and guidance you’ve shared with me over the last thirty-one years. It has all undoubtedly gotten me to where I am today and helped me become the woman I’m proud to be.

Thank you for the endless supply of hugs, smiles, and laughs. I have cherished each and every one.

You inspire me, every day, just by being you. Of the many things I’ve become in life, being your daughter is the greatest one of all and I am the luckiest girl in the world to call you Mom.

So today and always – thank you and I’ll love you always.

And to all of my beautiful, amazing friends celebrating Mother’s Day (and for many of you – your first Mother’s Day) – keep being the incredible women you are. You inspire me too!

And to my fellow fur moms – kiss some paws today. We’re pretty lucky too!

Lastly, come back Monday night for all my favorite photos from Mom and I’s annual Mother’s Day trip to the zoo! If cute animals is your thing, this post is for you.
