The C List

Fall2014_TheCList_HeaderHappy Friday!

And for those of you celebrating Easter or Passover this weekend – I hope you are set to have an amazing weekend with family and friends!

As some of you may know, I’m off to Nashville, Tennessee on Monday for the Inc. Magazine Growco Conference. I am beyond thrilled as this is my first big conference and the list of speakers is amazing: Jessica Alba, Daymond John from Shark Tank and Joe Gebbia of Airbnb.

I’m especially excited to hear Jesssica Alba speak about going from movie star to the founder of a billion dollar startup: the Honest Company.

It’s also my first time in Nashville – SO while my schedule is pretty jam-packed, this girl does love good eats and would love any recommendations any of you may have for a great restaurant or two in Downtown Nashville.

But, before that adventure begins and before a weekend of Easter treats begins, here is this week’s C List.

1. No, I Won’t Apologize For Instagramming My Brunch (via Huffington Post) This article was pretty much written for me. I love instagraming my food, my day, my outfit, etc. It doesn’t mean that I’m not still enjoying the moment – I’m snapping a memory so I can look back at it later, and enjoy it all over again.

2. RANKING: New York’s 15 Hottest Fictional Bachelors (via Refinery29) I love a lot of the fictional men on this list – but Paul Varjak from Breakfast at Tiffanys is topping my list.

3. 25 Struggles Every Fangirl Knows Only Too Well (via Buzzfeed) Calling all fangirls. This ones for you.

4. Fit Tips: 5 Things to Keep You Healthy At Work (via Lauren Conrad) This one is an oldie but a goodie. I swear by planning meals and bringing my lunch to work during the week. Otherwise the lure of all the downtown restaurants becomes far too tempting.

And that’s it from me.

Have an awesome weekend and eat way too many Cadbury Mini Eggs.

  1. Downtown Nashville Must Haves: Puckett’s Grocery (on 5th and Church) – their menu features the BEST that comfort food has to offer. To die for ribs, mouthwatering chicken fried steak, ooey gooey mac and cheese, and don’t forget the sweet tea!

Jack’s BBQ – apparently it’s good. I wouldn’t know because I’ve NEVER been patient enough to wait in line to eat. Seriously always a crazy long line.

    Rockbottom Brewery – great food!

Mike’s Ice Cream – delicious homemade ice cream made on site (I believe).

Paradise Park Trailer Resort – best late night eats. Hot dogs, burgers, greasy fries, shakes. It’s right below Big Bang, so you can’t miss it!

Don’t miss Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, and if you’re looking for night life away from the crazy crowds on Broadway, check out Printer’s Alley. I prefer it. And there’s a yummy little British pub called The Tube or The Underground or something like that right on Printer’s Alley. Can’t miss it – logo is the same as the London Tube.

Have fun, and say hi to Nashville for me!!!
