31, Happy and Flirty

In my early twenties, I was convinced it was all down hill after your 25th birthday. Once you turned 25, the five year countdown to 30 was on and then poof – you’re 30 and that’s that.

It wasn’t until I turned 30 that I realized how magical the thirties really are and after hearing more and more women in their forties, fifties, and even sixties tell me that their thirties were the best years of their life – I had a serious epiphany.

The best is yet to come.

Last Thursday, I turned 31. I spent the next three days celebrating with family and friends, welcoming kind words, thoughtful (and awesome) presents, and a few surprises along the way, including two of my best friends in my hallway with champagne and cake when I arrived home from my birthday dinner.

Above all, I spent 31 happy, glowing, and in love with life.
