On the 5th Day of a Tiffany Blue Christmas

tumblr_majy4yprY11r2uon8o1_500On the 5th day of a Tiffany Blue Christmas it’s time to talk those little ornaments that make our Christmas trees so sparkly and bright.

I’ve mentioned before that I’m a total Kevin McAllister when it comes to Christmas trees. They’re a must. But it’s those precious ornaments that are placed so carefully on the tree that make my heart sing. Each one tells a story and each holds a precious memory from Christmases past.

Seriously, just watch me decorate a tree and start crying over numerous ornaments. It happens: every.year.

I was able to narrow it down to three very precious ornaments and seriously, to everyone who has ever given me an ornament, just because it is NOT in this post don’t cry. I love yours JUST as much. But in the interest of time, I tried to keep it to three.

In no particular order:

1. My Snow Baby

This ornament was given to me by my childhood babysitter and the closest thing one could have to a second mother, Florence. Florence was without a doubt, one of the most important people in my childhood and though she passed away when I was in high school, not a Christmas goes by that I don’t take a moment to remember every precious memory when I hang this ornament.

2. My Bella Ball

This ornament resulted in all the tears last Christmas when I opened it. Hand painted by my parent’s neighbor, this ball instantly became one of my favorite ornaments and its resemblance to Bella is spot on. I’m so protective of it, it’s hanging on an ornament holder on my coffee table, in the event of a tree collapse.

3. The Book club Ball

In keeping with ornaments that make me cry, this ornament from my lovely friend Jess was another ornament that left me in tears last Christmas. This paper maché creation features exerts from all of the books my original Twitter besties (and book club gals) have read. It makes my book lover heart explode and reminds me of the greatest memories with Jess and the girls in NYC earlier this year. The time and dedication put into it, means the world to me!

Thank you again Jess! xo

Well, now that I’ve just shed a dozen tears sharing each reason behind these ornaments it’s your turn! What is your favorite ornament? Let me know in the comments below OR join in on the fun on Instagram by posting your answer along with the hashtag #12daysofaTBChristmas

Tomorrow we talk about how many counties your Christmas cards will reach this year!

Until then. I’m off to wipe these tears.
